KPV

LL – 37

Melanotan I & II

Two synthetic analogues of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone studied for their effects on pigmentation and melanocortin signaling. MT-1 led to the FDA-approved drug afamelanotide for a rare light-sensitivity disorder, while MT-2 remains unapproved and has also been studied for sexual function and appetite.

Mots-C

A naturally occurring mitochondrial peptide studied for its role in cellular energy, metabolism, blood sugar regulation, exercise, and healthy aging.

N-Acetyl Selank Amidate

A modified form of Selank explored in research around anxiety, stress, cognition, memory, and neurological signaling. Most evidence comes from standard Selank—the N-acetylated, amidated version itself has little to no direct published research.

NA Epitalon

A modified form of the longevity-research peptide Epitalon, explored primarily in connection with telomere biology, cellular aging, circadian rhythms, and related longevity research.

NAD+

A naturally occurring molecule essential for cellular energy, metabolism, DNA repair, and cell signaling. NAD+ has become a major focus of aging and longevity research, but evidence that NAD+ therapies meaningfully slow human aging remains limited.

PT – 141

A synthetic melanocortin peptide developed from Melanotan II research and studied for sexual desire and arousal. Bremelanotide is FDA approved as Vyleesi for acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder in certain premenopausal women.

Retatrutide

An investigational once-weekly triple hormone receptor agonist being developed for obesity and metabolic disease. Retatrutide targets GIP, GLP-1, and glucagon receptors and has produced average weight loss approaching 30% in Phase 3 obesity trials.

Selank

A synthetic peptide derived from tuftsin-related research and studied primarily for anxiety, stress, GABA signaling, cognition, and neuroimmune regulation. Selank has some human clinical research, but the overall evidence base remains relatively small and concentrated in Russian studies.

Semaglutide

A GLP-1 receptor agonist with extensive human clinical evidence for type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular-risk reduction, chronic kidney disease, and certain forms of fatty liver disease. Semaglutide is FDA approved in several formulations and is one of the most thoroughly studied compounds in the modern metabolic-medicine space.

Semax

A synthetic neuroactive peptide developed from an ACTH fragment and studied primarily for neuroprotection, cognition, memory, BDNF signaling, and ischemic brain injury. Semax has some human clinical research, especially in stroke, but remains unapproved in the United States.

Sermorelin

A 29-amino-acid fragment of growth hormone-releasing hormone that stimulates the pituitary to release its own growth hormone. Sermorelin has real human research and was previously FDA approved for pediatric growth hormone deficiency and diagnostic testing, but today's anti-aging, muscle-building, fat-loss, and recovery claims go far beyond its original evidence.

Snap-8

A synthetic cosmetic octapeptide developed to reduce the appearance of expression lines by interfering with SNARE-related signaling involved in muscle contraction. SNAP-8 is widely marketed as a topical “Botox-like” peptide, but independent human evidence is limited and most strong wrinkle-reduction claims come from manufacturer data.

SS-31

A mitochondria-targeting peptide that binds cardiolipin in the inner mitochondrial membrane and is studied for mitochondrial energy production, muscle function, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial disease. Elamipretide became FDA approved in 2025 as Forzinity for certain patients with Barth syndrome.

TB-500

An experimental fragment of Thymosin Beta-4 studied mainly for its potential role in wound healing, tissue repair, inflammation, and recovery from injury.

Tesamorelin

An FDA-approved growth hormone-releasing hormone analogue that stimulates natural growth hormone release and reduces excess visceral abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. Tesamorelin also has human research involving liver fat, cognition, and metabolic health, but it is not approved as a general weight-loss or anti-aging drug.

Thymosin Alpha-1 (TA-1)

A 28-amino-acid thymic peptide studied for immune regulation, T-cell function, severe infection, vaccine response, hepatitis, sepsis, and cancer-related immune support. Its synthetic form, thymalfasin, is marketed in several countries, but no thymosin alpha-1 product is FDA approved in the United States.

Tirzepatide

An FDA-approved dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist used for type 2 diabetes, chronic weight management, and moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity. Tirzepatide has one of the strongest human evidence bases in modern metabolic medicine, including direct head-to-head evidence showing greater average weight loss than semaglutide.
